Do I qualify for expungement?

In Missouri, the only criminal convictions that are eligible to be expunged include the following:

  • DWI (after 10 years have passed)
  • Minor in possession of alcohol
  • Passing bad checks
  • Fraudulently stopping payment of an instrument
  • Fraudulent use of a credit or debit card
  • Negligent setting of a fire
  • Tampering in the second degree
  • Property damage
  • Trespassing
  • Gambling
  • Disturbing the peace
  • Drunkenness or drinking in schools, churches or courthouses

These are the only convictions that will be considered for expungement. However, you may be able to expunge your arrest record. In order to have your record expunged, you must meet the following requirements:

  • You were arrested but not charged with a crime
  • You have no other convictions on your record
  • You have no civil actions pending against you
  • You did not receive a suspended imposition of sentence for the offense

Juvenile offenders can have their records expunged when they become of age. Contact us today to learn more about expungement in Missouri.
